Duncan Wells is one of the UK's top Radio and Television voiceovers. The voice behind the Daily Mail campaigns, Renault, Nescafe, Kelloggs, CNBC promos, Sky sports sponsorship promos PGA Golf, The Challenge Cup, The Cricket, National Geography Promos, The Allen Carr Easy Way to give up smoking CD, many, many radio commercials, the voice of the HP Agilant defibrilator and Lucent Technology's voice synthesis programme, well you name it really. Duncan has been doing it for 30 years so he has covered a lot of ground !
- Sometimes these recordings are made in studios in London.
- Sometimes they are to picture.
- Sometimes they are ADR.
- Sometimes they are made via ISDN to Duncan's custom built studio (by Studo Schemes) with its state of the art digital equipment (Neumann U87Ai mic, SADiE, Yamaha O3D desk, plus Focusrite Red 3 and 7 and ISA430 Producer Pack processors for the technologically minded). Usually these sessions are for studios around the UK and overseas. Occasionally an ISDN session will be a link to London for a last minute commercial.
- Sometimes Duncan is required to record in his studio and supply on MP3 or WAV, or AIFF over the net, or CD, or minidisk, or whatever format you require.
- And sometimes Duncan is required to translate from a foreign language - French or German - and then record the script.
